A flat $299 a month, no matter how many doctors or users you have. We'll verify your 501(c)(3) status before your service agreement.

Teaching hospitals

$399/month per location

$399 a month per location for veterinary colleges and universities using Shepherd for teaching. Clinics serving the public use our standard pricing. Shepherd is SOC 2 and TX-RAMP certified

How much does Shepherd cost?

Shepherd is priced per doctor. One doctor is $349 a month, or $299 with Shepherd Pay. Doctors two and three are $99 each, and each doctor after that is $49. Everyone else on your team uses Shepherd at no extra cost.

Do you charge per user or per workstation?

No. Your subscription covers unlimited users and as many computers and tablets as your team needs.

What counts as a doctor?

A doctor license covers one veterinarian on your staff. Relief vets are covered separately by the $99 relief package.

When does billing start?

For single-location practices, billing starts 12 weeks after onboarding begins, even if you go live sooner. For new practices and multi-location groups, billing starts once onboarding is complete.

Is there a setup or onboarding fee?

No. Onboarding and setup are included. The only one-time cost is data migration, if you're bringing records over from another system.

What data do you migrate?

Most core clinic data migrates into Shepherd, including:

How much does texting cost?

Texting is $99 per 5,000 messages. Most clinics send fewer than 2,000 a month, which works out to about $30 to $40 a month.

What happens to my data if I leave?

Your data is yours. If you move to another system, we provide two complimentary data exports.

Our pricing is the same for every practice, and the ways to save are listed above: Shepherd Pay, the Pet Assure network, and our new practice program.

Do you work with Canadian practices?

Yes. Shepherd pricing is in US dollars.
